Hello, my name is Christopher. I’m a documentary photographer based in Amsterdam. My background is in art direction, and after years of looking at other people’s images, I decided to create my own. Through my photography, I tell original stories about the beauty of people trying to find their place in the world, with their own (sometimes odd) habits, rituals, cultures and sense of community. I approach my work from a place of empathy, and have a talent for letting people be themselves in front of the camera. I’m at my most comfortable in awkward situations (speaking several languages helps a lot).

I’m friendly and always available for portraits, brand content, press and events.

“Chris is one of our fave photographers at VICE, and, honestly, he's MY favourite photographer. He knows how to spot the wit in situations (even if they're super-serious). He covered Pride for us, but has also covered extremist rallies, climate demos, Black Pete, and migrant workers on Dutch farms. This guy can do anything, please hire him.”
